We celebrate with Vicky Joseph, a Nigerian writer residing in Turkey with her husband and two children, has channelled her free time into writing stories that impart values and character to young children and early graders.
She submitted the raw, unedited manuscript of “The Lying Bird” to the editorial team at The Scribes Media, who refined the script, collaborated with in-house illustrators, and published the beautiful picture book.

Cockatoo is a diligent bird, and to avoid punishment, he lies every time he causes damage. He changed and became honest after being exposed, which embarrassed him. Nevertheless, the other animals could no longer trust in him even after he stopped lying. Thus, he has to put a lot of effort into regaining their trust.
