Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth academic and market research
• Develop research topics, proposals, and full-length research articles
• Write publication-ready manuscripts for journals, conferences, and academic platforms
• Perform literature reviews and data interpretation
• Ensure proper citation and referencing using APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, or other required styles
• Edit, proofread, and format research documents to publication standards
• Conduct plagiarism checks and maintain originality
• Assist with journal submission processes and publication guidelines
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in academic or research writing
• Strong understanding of research methodologies
• Familiarity with academic databases and citation tools
• Ability to write clear, analytical, and well-structured content
• Experience with journal publication standards is an added advantage
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential projects professionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any academic discipline

The Scribes Media is seeking a creative writer  to develop compelling, and professionally written biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, and legacy projects for clients across different industries and backgrounds.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent storyteller with strong interviewing, research, and long-form writing abilities capable of transforming real-life experiences into engaging narratives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed interviews with clients and relevant sources
• Research personal histories, achievements, events, and timelines
• Develop structured biography outlines and chapter frameworks
• Capture the client’s voice, personality, and life story authentically
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information
• Meet agreed deadlines and revision requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience in biography, memoir, ghostwriting, or long-form storytelling
• Strong interviewing and listening skills
• Ability to write emotionally engaging and well-structured narratives
• Strong research and organizational abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Writing, Journalism, Literature, Communications, or related fields
• Published biography or ghostwriting experience is an added advantage
• Experience handling large word-count projects
